Managing Director
Liam Bagnell
Liam Bagnell (MBA) has over 45 years’ experience in the aviation industry. Liam has been with the Irish Air Corps, Aer Lingus and went on to found Aero Inspection in 2003.
As well as possessing Part 66 licences on almost all types of modern commercial airliners, Liam holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Limerick in Aviation Management.
Liam is an approved borescoper, an FAA IA, and holds a PPL.

Chief Commercial Officer
Ann Bagnell
As a founding member of Aero Inspection with her husband Liam Bagnell, she has been instrumental to the success of the company. Since its foundation in 2004, the company has become a thriving business winning many awards.
In addition to her responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer, Ann leads the Aircraft Weighing Department and has ensured that Aero Inspection has become a leading aircraft weighing contractor on the island of Ireland. Additionally, she manages the commercial elements of the Aero Inspection Battery Shop.
She has a certificate from the Law Society of Ireland in Aviation Leasing and Finance.
Ann qualified as a registered nurse, midwife, and chiropodist. She successfully ran her own chiropody practice for 30 years.

Managing Director - Asia
Peter Bagnell
Peter Bagnell (M.A (Hons), B. Sc (Hons)) is the Managing Director of Aero Inspection’s Asia office. He has held this position since 2014.
Peter holds a Master’s in Business Management and a Degree in Material Science from the University of Limerick. He also holds a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland.
He has been working in the company since 2009, and has held many positions within the organisation. Peter is also Quality Manager for the company.
Peter was the winner of the ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional’ category at the IAA Aviation Industry Awards 2014.

Director of Operations
Owen Bagnell
Owen Bagnell (BSc. Spec Dip, MBA) is the director of operations for Aero Inspection. He is based in the Shannon office and is leading the company’s expansion into the Middle East. He is the winner of the Upcoming Aviation Professional 2019 at the Irish Aviation Awards. Owen controls the EMEA 145 side of the business as well as the Part 21 J and G. He has a BSc in computer science, a specialist diploma in aviation leasing and finance, and an MBA with an aviation stream.

Finance Manager
Lino Varghese
Lino Varghese (MBA) has over ten years’ experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, valuations, risk management, feasibility analysis, and market research.
He has a Master’s in Finance & Accounting, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Lino is a key member of the Aero Inspection finance team.

Senior Borescope Inspector
Duncan Duffield
Duncan started in aviation in 1989 as a British Airways apprentice and polished his skills over the next 15 years in major modifications and maintenance. He has an EASA licence on a wide array of aircraft like B747, B777, A320, A330, A340, and the iconic Concorde. He has worked with a number of UK based airlines on both line and base maintenance. After spending some time as a travelling technical representative Duncan decided to settle down with Aero Inspection. Duncan’s passion has always been engines, no doubt sparked by working on the unparalleled ‘Olympus’ Concorde engine early on in his career and he is now known as the go-to expert in the borescope business.

Senior Inspector
Gary Tan
Gary is based in Singapore and has extensive experience working on turbine engines. In 1982 Gary began his aviation engineering career by joining the Singapore Royal Air Force.
After leaving the air force Gary joined ST Aerospace where he worked in the engine overhaul shop and the Onwing Support Division.
Gary has over 30 years’ experience working in aviation and is an excellent contributor to the Aero Inspection family.

Senior Technical Sales Manager
Eric Loi
Eric Loi is the Senior Technical Sales Manager for Aero Inspection based in the Singapore office.
Eric’s aviation career began in ST Aviation Services Company upon graduating from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. During his nineteen-year career in the aviation industry, Eric has managed to gain experience that runs from engineering services, technical sales, key account management, corporate strategy, customer support, and purchasing.
Eric is currently expanding Aero Inspection’s whole portfolio of services and products in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.

Operations Manager - APAC
Firdaus Adris
Firdaus is the Operation Manager (APAC) of Aero Inspection. Here he is leading a team of field services engineers and inspectors performing Return Off Lease requirements. Firdaus is responsible of running day to day APAC operations and the primary liaison for customers.
Firdaus started his aviation career in 2003 as a structural and composite technician with ROHR Aero Service Asia, specialising in Commercial Jet Engine Nacelles, before moving to various MROs in Singapore and overseas (UK and Dubai) and holds the Australia Cert IV in Aero-Skills Structures.
Firdaus is the 2015 Aircraft Maintenance Technology, 40 under 40, Aircraft Maintenance Professional NEXTGEN award winner.

Aircraft Re/Delivery Manager
Dennis Chua
Dennis is employed with Aero Inspection as an Aircraft Re/Delivery Manager.
He is a Licenced Aircraft Engineer and has worked in ST Aerospace Services, and Airbus FHS TSP before joining Aero Inspection. Within these companies he was involved in light and heavy maintenance checks, and managing aircraft delease checks.
Dennis is now managing aircraft which are returning off lease on behalf of lessors. He has extensive experience dealing with lessors, lessees, and MROs on Boeing and Airbus Aircraft.

Part 21 Design Engineer
Handy Wijaya
Handy Wijaya (M.B.A., B. Eng (Hons)) works in Aero Inspection’s Asia office as a Part 21 Design Engineer. He is tasked to build the Part 21 design capability within the Singapore office, and to provide the unparalleled support and turnkey solutions to Aero Inspection’s customers in the region.
Handy has a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and a Degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
His engineering career started in 2004. In 2009 he joined the aviation industry at Jamco Aero Design & Engineering (JADE) and in 2015 he made the move to the The Boeing Company in Singapore (later known as Boeing Asia Pacific Aviation Services).

Alicia is a graduate of Aircraft Systems Engineering from IT Carlow. She has a passion for aviation that resonates through her work and is dedicated to customer service. She is your main point of call for borescope and boreblend jobs in EMEA.

Andrei is a design engineer based in Shannon. His expertise is on cabin and cabin safety, liveries, and decals. A passionate engineer with an inexhaustible supply of solutions.

Borescope Inspector
John Beirne
John’s aviation journey began in 1989 when he joined the Irish Army Air Corps as an airframe and engine technician. During his career there he spent time working on fixed wing and rotary wing, 1st as an inspector and then as an instructor. John left to join the private sector in 2012 and began working in the UAE with a military MRO. He then returned to Ireland and joined Aero Inspection where he provides expert borescope inspections and carries out aircraft weighing.

Borescope Inspector
Pedro Ferreira
Pedro started his training at the TAP Air Portugal training center all the way back in January of 2001. After 18 months he graduated to the Engine shop and he has been an engine person ever since. In April 2009, he became a full time borescope inspector and went on the lead the field borescope team from the TAP engine shop. He soon gained his approval on boreblend as well as borescope and has been a familiar face to airlines in need of support around the world. He joined the Aero Inspection family in April 2020.

Borescope Inspector
Ken Sim
Ken is a certifying Borescope Inspector at Aero Inspection and is based in Singapore. Ken has over 15 years of aviation experience and holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
He started his aviation career with the Republic of Singapore Airforce (RSAF) as an Airframe and Engine certified specialist for the F-16D Fighter Jet.
Upon leaving the Air Force in 2012, Ken joined Singapore Aero Engine Services (SAESL) where he worked in the Engine test cell department as a borescope inspector (Approval Holder). Here he developed excellent skills and knowledge on commercial Engines.

Borescope Inspector
Jagdev Singh
Jagdev is working with Aero Inspection as a Borescope Inspector (Certifying Staff). He is based in Singapore.
His aviation career began in 1998 when he joined the Republic of Singapore Airforce (RSAF) as an Airframe and Engine specialist working on the A4SU Super Skyhawk.
After he left the airforce in 2006, he began the next phase of his aviation career with Singapore Technologies Aerospace Engineering (STAE). He was deployed to France to support STAE where he was appointed as Airframe & Engine Trade In-charge.
While in France he was awarded the company Safety Award twice for spotting defects that were not easy to detect.

Borescope Inspector
Noble George
Noble George is a Borescope Inspector with Aero Inspection. Before joining Aero Inspection Noble was a Borescope Inspection instructor with Pratt and Whitney. He is also a P&W qualified instructor for level 1,3,4 and 5 training on PW1100G-JM engine.
Noble started his aviation career in 2007 as aircraft maintenance trainee, after graduating in Mechanical engineering. He holds EASA approval as a type training Instructor as well as a BAMEEC from DGCA, India.
Over the course of his career he honed his skills for aircraft powerplant. He has worked in borescope inspection and training, development of repair process for engine components, engine shop process planning, and life cycle cost reduction.

Powerplant Engineer
Muhammad Rifdi
Rifdi joined Aero Inspection in September 2018 and is based in our Singapore office. He has a strong passion for aviation and pursued his education in it.
Rifdi graduated with First class Honours in Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Systems from University of Glasgow.
He also holds a Diploma in Aerospace Electronics, as well as a Certificate in Business from Singapore Polytechnic.
He provides support for the borescope inspectors by reviewing and assessing damage found during inspections.

Powerplant Engineer
Obaida Abul Khair
Obaida is a Powerplant Engineer with Aero Inspection and is attached to our Singapore office. He works as part of our EASA/FAA Part-145 team of Engineers and Certifying Borescope Inspectors.
He graduated top of his batch with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Aircraft Engineering Technology – Mechanical.
Obaida’s passion for Powerplant is distinctive. His potential was recognised by the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation, where he was the recipient of the ‘2018 Gilbert W. Speed Memorial Scholarship’, offered to only 1 student from around the world annually.
In 2019, he represented the ISTAT scholars at the ISTAT Asia Conference in Shanghai.

Nacelle Inspector
Muhammad Iskandar
Iskandar is based in our Asia office. Iskandar has over 19 years of aviation experience as an Inspector and technician with various MRO companies in Singapore. His aviation career started in 2001 as a Technician/Inspector with ROHR Aero Services Asia focusing on commercial jet engine nacelles before moving on to Rolls Royce Singapore as an Engine Technician.
After leaving Rolls Royce in 2015, he joined Safran as a Field Service Representative where he held the responsibilities of a certifying staff holder. While in Safran, Iskandar performed on-site AOG support in ASEAN region supporting various airlines and MROs.
Iskandar holds the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) approval ratings for C14 Gas Turbine Engine.

Finance Administrator
Natalie Bagnell
Natalie is the finance administrator for Aero Inspection. A graduate of CIT and the Kemmy Business School she has been with the team since Jan 2020

Powerplant Engineer
Conor O’Brien
Conor Joined Aero Inspection in November 2019 as a Powerplant Engineer and is based in the Irish office. He works as part of the EASA/FAA Part-145 team of Powerplant Engineers. Conor has extensive experience in field services with regards to Borescope Inspections, QEC Inventories, Borescope Witnessing, and GVIs on large commercial engines. He also provides onsite support for Aircraft weighing.
Conor is a graduate of the University of Limerick, Ireland with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
